With any software, from time to time you will experience a bug. For a WordPress website, it could be due to an upgrade that your web host has implemented, an out-of-date plugin or simply something that was overlooked when your site was made.
Keeping your site up to date and maintained can help reduce the risk but even so, it can happen.
I actually find bug fixing very satisfying and am pretty quick at finding and squashing the blighters!

How much will it cost?
It is difficult to put a fixed price on bug fixes. I would usually spend 1 hour investigating the issue and then advise you accordingly if I feel it is going to more than 1 hour to fix it.
From my experience, 1-2 hours is usually enough time for a typical bug and the bug can quite often cause multiple issues throughout your website, so one fix can solve many issues. It really does depend on the plugins, theme and functionality of your website.
So a fair figure to have in your mind would be £50 – £100.
In order to fix an issue, a developer must first be able to recreate it, so the more information you can provide as to how and when the problem happens will usually speed up the process. Screenshots and video recordings are great for this.
If a website has a fatal error that is stopping your site from functioning then I will treat this as a priority job so you don’t lose too many potential customers.
