I can take a look at your website and provide a breakdown of what and why a change should be made and how long it will take to do so and what the outcome of the change might be. That way you can prioritise the work based on your goals.

For example, if your web page it taking more than 10 seconds to load we may decide to move to a better web host or optimise all images and scripts to make the page load in less than 3 seconds. This is not costly to do and will give your customers a better user experience, potentially resulting in a successful conversion.

Why do I have to maintain my website if it already works?

I am a great fan of WordPress and recommend it, but with any software, it needs a little TLC every now and again to stay up-to-date and secure.

This can be time-consuming and result in errors which take your site down and look very unprofessional.

Some agencies do offer support, but to be honest, support is not something they want to be doing and if they do offer this service you will have to pay their expensive hourly rate + VAT!

I can provide bespoke maintenance packages to meet your needs and budget. Some sites won’t need much looking after, whereas other sites may have dozens of plugins, an eCommerce shop or lots of moving parts.

Why hire a freelancer?

Hiring me as a freelancer saves you having to employ an in-house web developer or an expensive web agency with lots of overheads. Actually, in some cases it is a freelancer doing the work for the agency anyway – so why not go directly to the freelancer.

When you hire me I will be your only point of call. This is useful as you won’t need to discuss your requirements with an account manager and then a designer and then a developer etc which results in a streamlined process to get you results.

It gives you the freedom to be as hands-on or off with the website as you feel confident. I do have clients that like to get their hands dirty but occasionally want to have a short call when they can’t quite get something the way they want it.

And on the other end of the spectrum, I have clients who know what they want but would rather brief me so I can get the job done while they do what they do best.
